The companies that are in this directory have recognitions such as the CST (Tourism Sustainability Certificate), which is a program designed to categorize tourism companies according to the actions they take in favor of sustainability, which makes them have a better management of natural, social and cultural resources. Currently, there are two levels of CST, the BASIC and ELITE, with the latter being the second best classification of the standard.
Likewise, the Tourism Declaration is another of the awards granted by the ICT (Costa Rican Tourism Board) to companies that meet the technical, economic and legal requirements indicated in the respective regulations. These requirements will request a high quality of the tourist product they provide.
