TRC Viajes is a local initiative in which we offer innovative programs, always seeking to create authentic experiences of Costa Rican and Latin American culture, which was born with the objective of promoting Community Rural Tourism in Costa Rica as a tool for the conservation of natural resources.
We design and operate authentic adventures offering community rural tourism through responsible and sustainable trips in communities where visitors meet Costa Ricans who protect forests, rivers, coastal areas, corals and practice sustainable agriculture, combining adventure, culture and conservation.
By traveling with us, the client will be able to learn about the work carried out by local and indigenous communities in favor of environmental conservation, becoming a responsible traveler, leaving their green footprint and promoting the socioeconomic development of the communities.
Our itineraries range from 3d/2n, 2d/1n packages, to complex circuits of 15 and 22 days in different destinations in Costa Rica (Arenal, Monteverde, Caribe Sur, Turrialba, Zona Norte, Corcovado, Manuel Antonio, etc.), we normally design itineraries tailored to the client's budget and the available time they have.
We have a specialized Rural Community Tourism product as part of our tourism product (around 55 community projects in all parts of the country), peasant families, indigenous projects (6 of the 8 existing ethnic groups that operate tourism), additionally we have hotels of different categories (3*-4*-5*).
Our tours range from horseback riding on the beach, the mountains, canopy, rafting, coffee tour, bird watching tour, cooking classes, walks, ethnic tours, etc. These tours are operated by the rural communities themselves or by duly registered companies.
We have safe and responsible carriers with all their permits up to date and tour guides duly certified by the ICT.
We contribute to the economic development of communities by generating around 1,200 jobs for their inhabitants in different areas such as cooking, tour operations, transportation, etc.,
We are proudly the creators of the Costa Rica-Panama Binational Rural Tourism Route (Talamanca -Changuinola), which was financed by IICA, through ECADERT and the Binational Community Tourism Commission in Talamanca.
We are currently registered in the PANIAMOR Code of Conduct, the Sofia Network, the San José Declaration, the Ecological Blue Flag Program Climate Change Category and in the MEIC as an MIPYME.
