| GENERAL INFORMATION
This Park represents thousands of years of geological history, which have resulted in an ample system of caverns, independent from one another, with stalactite and stalagmite formations.
From 8:00 am until 4:00 pm for normal visits, and from 7:00 am until 1:00 pm in order to visit the caves (to descend)

LOCATION |
Located in the province of Guanacaste, on the Tempisque Conservation Area, specifically the county of Nicoya, 22 km northeast of that city. |

MAIN ATTRACTIONS |
Barra Honda has a network of caverns of calcareous formation, which have been explored only 50%. by scientists and speleologists. Currently, only the cavern Terciopelo is open to the public. It’s the only one presenting adequate conditions for the descent of inexperienced visitors and is ideal for adventure tourism.
In this Park you can appreciate all the characteristics of the Tropical Dry Forest, especially during the dry season.
There is also a series of look-outs of great scenic beauty and beautiful waterfalls making this Park an amazing place.
